“the cragged staircase” SOLD.

“the cragged staircase” was inspired by a vague memory of peering through the window of an old, abandoned, limestone house near my childhood home in Neenah in the early ‘70s.  By the mid 1970s, the house had been bought and fully renovated and remains so to this day. The old farmhouse no doubt had a staircase, but I don't recall even seeing anything in the dark interior. I wasn't even tall enough to reach the height of the windowledge, but I did have the grand imagination of a child!

This work is an acrylic on canvas 18” W 24”H
