"city on a hillside - blue"

20x16” acrylic on canvas.

Frequently, I will choose the color palette I want to use, as the first step in my painting process. After that I'll choose the canvas I feel like painting on. Following that, I'll set out some comparably sized paint brushes and maybe a palette knife or two. It's a bit like singing in the shower. You've probably experienced this yourself more times than you can recall! An idea just pops into your head, or you think of an appointment you have later that day.

If nothing comes to mind during this setup process, I'll do a few more routine chores around the house and maybe pause along the way to look at a book on my bookshelf. Whenever I turn to my painting easel, I'll just start painting. If I don't like it, I'll just start over. That's the beauty of painting with acrylics and oils- you can just paint over it and not wasted canvas!

Buyer pays shipping, estimated cost $30-$60 depending on size/weight of canvas.
